Default New Home Inspection

I am building a new house and forgot to mention inspection when signed my contract. I know nothing about construction and want to seek professional help.

I have three choices to inspect my new home:

1) In the final walk-through before possession date.
2) In the following week just after possession. I do know they are totally different before and after possession day for pre-owned home. Is there any big different for new built home?
3) Before the warranty is expired because new home has one year warranty. This choice is the best choice for me because I can find more problems before the inspection.

Before I built this house, I thought new house should have NO big problem. Unfortunately, I found two cracks on the basement wall and also found leaking in the basement in the pre-dry-wall walk-through.

Thank you for attentions.
