![]() Our main basement space is 19x21 with one section being about 19x25. We have an oversized window on the wall that is 21'. Should we run the planks parallel to the wall with the window or perpendicular to that wall? |

Based on this I would go parallel. Are there any hallways, or joining with other rooms to consider?

My preference is whatever requires fewer cuts. And a long straight run is beneficial for starting against.

I was always told flooring looked best when laid in the direction of light coming in the main set of windows.
Don't do what's easiest, do what looks the best. |
