Default Drywall - to glue or not to glue?

Hello all, would you recommend glueing drywall to studs and floor joists and then apply screws, or do you just screw them in? What is the recommended practice? Thanks.

Can't say I have ever seen drywall glued and then screwed in 17 years of building houses.

It may be done in areas where drywall is doubled up and the seams offset in order to reduce sound vibrations.
