Hi all! Our basement was poured with insulated concrete forms. All rim joists were spray foamed. On the outer basement walls, our drywall was attached directly to the rigid foam. Under our floor concrete pad there is rigid foam and a layer of poly, then the pad poured on top.
I know there’s a lot of debate about where to put the vapour barrier - we’ll it’s done, and in our case it’s below the pad.
I’m debating how to finish the floor. I’ll likely wait a year to let it dry, but after that what should I do? Products like Delta floor membrane would create a second vapour barrier. I’m pretty sure I need a solution that will allow the concrete to breathe to the inside?
I’ve been trying to find guidance on how best to finish it but it’s so hard to find anything concrete (pardon the pun!)
Any advice?
