Default Bathurst vs Bayview

I am wondering if Bathurst/16th to Major Mac areas have the same growing potential and market value as Bayview/16th and Major Mac areas. By the way, are they almost in the same price range now?

I personally like the Bayview stretch. The houses there are beutiful and it looks like the lot sizes are much bigger because the development is a bit older. Richmond Hill has amazing parks and community centres and there are some nice restaurants and shops at Bayview/Major Mac. I couldn't even come close to affording a house along that cooridor, that is why I went further north to Bayview/Stoufville. I think that stretch of Bayview may be more expensive than the Bathurst one.

it's a close call.....I like Bayview on Toronto where there is no comparison... but in York Region, I like Bathurst better.. but then again I am bias..i used to live between dufferin and bathurst at centre st for about 12 years.. As far as prive range goes... I would say it's pretty even...maybe slightly more on the bayview side.

Default Question

Bayview extension is known, like Pete said in Toronto area to be distinguished and posh. Bathurst and anything running north of Centre street has great pockets of LARGE homes (Beverly Glen area) Also, homes off of Bathurst and a little futher where 16th turns to Carville/Rutherford, right on the corner where the Lebovic community center is being built, start from 700,000 dollars and run well into the millions (Corination Homes). Even the homes off of Bathurst and Teston have multi-million dollar homes nestled in that Upper Thornhill area.

I like the area north of 16th on Bayview. I guess it is called Bayview Hill, right? But, those houses are too big to afford for me

Going south to Bayview and Hwy 7 will be too close to those power stations.
