Default HRV for a new build

hey guys!

i'm planning to get a HRV for my new home.. the builder is offering the following two HRVs - which one is better? they're price about $100 apart from each other.

1. vanee 90 H - comes with ducting to laundry & powder room - this one is more expensive... no HEPA filter: http://www.vanee.ca/res-air-exchangers-bronze.php

2. vanee thh 1.0 - this unit comes with a HEPA filter - and the control seems better - it's cheaper by $100. doesn't have ducting to laundry & powder room though: http://www.vanee.ca/res-air-exchangers-hepahrv.php

the lady at the decor studio recommended the first one, but i don't know if she knows much.

what do you guys think ? are they good units? which one is better?

Here are previous threads on HRV/ERV.

ERV is better since you can use it all year round....

When I was shopping for my unit I inquired about that HRV/Hepa combo and it was recommended to stick with an HRV or ERV, not the combo. They suggested if you want the best performance of both systems then get two separate units, an HRV and a Hepa Air cleaner.

If your builder offers an ERV option, get that.

I have the Vanee thh1.0 and it is ducted directly into the the return air duct in the basemenet and the fresh air into the furnace. I use it all year round and run it for about 2 - 3 hours a day ( 2050 sq ft home). I suffer from asthma and allergies and the Hepa makes a huge difference.
