Default Colour choices for the house????

So it coming up to painting time soon, and we have decided on Benjamin Moore for our paints, where we are getting stuck, is the colour choices. My question is, what colour do people have in the following areas:

1. hallways and stairs

2. dining area

3. living room linked to kitchen

4. powder room

5. master bedroom

6. office and guest rooms

It doesn't have to be BM that you have, but am interested in the colour type and it flows around the house. Normally model homes paint all the ground floor the same colour, has anyone done this?

We went with BM mid-grade paint throughout the house and are very pleased with the outcome. I can see if I can find the exact colours we went with and send you a pm.

I'll really appreciate that! How is the quest for the porch chairs, did you find them?

A lot of small paint store offer consulting services to help you choose the right color and type of paint. They take into consideration your floor plan layout, furniture, your style, flooring colour, etc Not sure what the exact cost is for this - I'm sure there is a small fee. But the outcome is well worth it in my opinion - from the 2-3 friend's home I saw.

We have BM bleeker beige in our current home. It's throughout our foyer, dining and living rooms and hallways, including the upstairs hall. It gives some variety because it looks really different depending on the light, but it's a good medium tone. Don't use it if you don't like green, it does look more green sometimes in my house than it did on the paint chip.

natural linen makes a good hallway colour too - it flows nicely throughout the house whether hardwood, carpet or tile. Its nice & neutral, and goes well with some vibrant colours, and especially well with bleeker beige (the odd green that looks quite striking).

avoid bar harbour beige.

Thumbs up

thx everyone. So how is everyone finding their new house anyway interms on neighbours, area, and all that? It's coming up to 1yr for us and we have a consultation with an inspector today who is going to do our Tario inspection, he is charging $250 for it next month, but just wants to come see the house.

Apart from a neighbour that refuses to put dog on a leash, and expects everyone else to pick up after his dog, we are liking it so far. Changed lot of fixtures in the house, planted trees, and hoping to do fence next year and herbs/veggie garden
