Default determining soil type (rural kanata building lot)

I am interested in a rural housing lot in kanata (north of march) and the geological study document lists the terrain as having silty clay or clay marine materials. It also lists the overburden soil thickness at around 4 metres so I assume there is a bedrock below this soil. I googled these terms and it looks like it is risky to build on such as soil but if there is a bedrock underneath I am assuming it shouldn't cause that much problem. Can someone suggest an expert in Ottawa (foundation experts or soil experts) I can directy talk to before I make a decision? I would like to know what I am getting into before I buy.

I'm not 100% sure these guys could help, but look up a company in Kanata called " Golder" They are an environmental consulting company and probably have someone on their staff who would be very familiar with what you're asking. Good luck.
