Thumbs up AJAX Sundial Homes Closing 2017 or earlier

I have just placed a down payment for the new detached Sundial homes Model Rondeau 1834 sq/ft. Any feedback on this model would be highly appreciated.. I noticed that two of the four bedrooms are small in size and I would like to know if anyone out there has the same model what do you think of the Model in general and the room sizes. also what upgrades did you go for?

Hi Rondeau,

I have the same model and have been living in it for 7 months now. you are correct, the two rooms are small. One currently sits empty and the other is used as a home office. It is only my wife and I that live there so we are good with the sizes but there is no way a queen bed would fit in any of those rooms.

As for the upgrades, off the top of my head:

Larger Baseboards
Upgraded all the tile on the main floor (12x24)
Closet doors instead of sliders
200 AMP Breaker
Cold Storage in Basement
Pantry in Kitchen
Angled Cabinet with glass insert in kitchen
Glass Shower, Jacuzzi and extra sink in Master Bath
Smooth ceilings throughout the house

Hope this helps.

The house comes with a standard 100 amp breaker panel, I upgraded to the 200 in case I decide to finish my basement down the road. You are correct it is a bigger panel with more space for additional breakers.

Houses have not used fuses for about 20+ years. It is all circuit-breakers in a breaker panel now.

Hi Rondeau. I am also in the same boat where my appointment is on the 10th. I am planning to opt for 3 piece roughin basement, cold water line to fridge , oak stairs, smooth ceilings, swing doors instead of slider closets, standard deep line fridge, iron pickets and railings. Cannot go with 9 foot ceilings as it cannot be accommodated to my model it seems else would have gone for this. Increased basement sized windows.
