Smile Maplewood Meadows - Starlane Homes

Hello everyone. Don't see any other threads for this site.

Just bought a townhouse (Aspen 10) from Starlane Homes in Maplewood Meadows (Maple Ave and 401). Wondering if any neighbors are on this forum?

Closing early Dec 2010

Smile Hello Neighbor

We bought at Maplewood Meadows as well, closing mid December 2010. Thanks for starting the thread.

Just booked my first meeting at the decor centre to decide on plumbing and electrical. Has anyone already done theirs? Any Starlane buyers out there know what the latest pricing is?

I've read the forum for people who purchased in Markham, wondering if it's standard pricing or it can vary by site.

We bought the Aspen 2. Our first visit to the decor center will be Feb 27. A friend who bought at Maplewood before the holidays, said the prices at the decor center had gone up 7% since he first made his offer. Since its our first time we wont notice the difference.

Congratulations on your purchase. What upgrades are you planning?

We are still trying to decide which upgrades we want. We'll definitely be passing on the flooring as we can do those later and I am assuming that it'll be quite expensive from the builder. We're planning on concentrating on the kitchen as well as lighting. Hopefully we don't break the bank doing it.

We had our meeting a couple of days ago. They were very nice and took the time explaining things to us. We were there for almost three hours!

We ended up getting some standard things in terms of upgrades, lights with switches in the living area and over the kitchen sink, extra outlet in the garage, gas line for bbq and water line for fridge. We ended up passing on the pot lights though... $320 each!

We just did our plumbing and electrical last week. We didn't do too many upgrades... we are going at the end of the month to select our colours and finishes. Sadly this is where we will really need to fight the urge not to break the bank. I agree with you about the flooring.. much less to do it yourself, and you are not limited to the colours and materials available from the builder.

We had our meeting to select colors and what not this past week. We're already over our budget so some things will definitely be coming off. Amazing how quickly the options can add up.

We stopped by the site yesterday, they've begun digging and pouring the foundations. Exciting stuff!

We went by the site again this past weekend, its very exciting... can't wait till they start framing. Having started this early I really hope nothing delays the closing (fingers & toes crossed).... It will be a great christmas present.
