Anyone find a great Home Inspector they'd like to recommend?

Red Flag #1 - NEVER accept a referral from a realtor you are working with. For obvious reasons!

Rule #2 - Find the GRUMPIEST and pickiest, most thorough inspector you can find.

If you are looking for a new construction warranty inspection then you will want to hire an inspector that specialises in those inspections.

I used Phil Acker who answers questions on this message board. He caught a bunch of issues that I wouldn't have noticed. Detailed report with pictures, and the section of the Tarion warranty it was covered under. Made it easier to do my 30 day.

Me too, 9 years ago. I hope to do it again for a new construction next year if he is available.
