Completely agree! Also when painted over they always have gobs of paint in the openings, just doesn't look professional. The white factory finish is much nicer and cleaner.

Not if you paint them properly. I thinned down the wall paint and sprayed the grilles. They look much better blended into the wall rather than some giant white rectangular eyesore.
