![]() My husband and I have just purchased the Tartan Magnolia semi in Findlay Creek. Just wondering if anyone has purchased the "Solar Ready" upgrade ($800). If you have, any idea how much it will cost to purchase and install the hot water heating system? What kind of cost savings are estimated? Are there other solar components we should be looking at? Many thanks for your input Sylvia |

I looked into this a while back but unfortunately I forgot many of the details. I forgot it mostly because it seemed very not worth it in the end.
The purpose of the solar ready option is to just warm the water a little before it goes to your hot water heater. I figured that it would take multiple decades to be financially worth it (and that is if your original solar panel does not get damaged by a storm, etc). The detail that I do remember was that I got the very best info from these guys. http://www.lagois.com/ If I do end up pursuing the solar panels in the future, I would go through them. They were most helpful. |
