To discuss about starlane Upper Oaks - upgrades.
1. Can we install POT/PAN DRAWER UNIT to Kitchen Island or near stove?
Can we do it later? Just my removing one door to update 3 drawers? $605

2. Pie Cut Corner Cabinet Base unit with Lazy Susan - Is it worth? $770

3. Standard hard wood color - yellowish - I don't like that. Builder quote $4900 for Stained stairs and main floor Hard wood cost $4900 - is it worth? Can we do it outside? or after closing?

5. Cabinet Door Handles - Chrome - Upgrade 2 - $1310 - Is it worth ? can we do it later?

6. Ceramic Wall & Floor for Master Ensuite (Bathroom) $3500 - will add any value to home? or can I go with standard wall & floor?

Builders always charge at least double price for the upgrades, for stain the stairs - I think it's around $2000-3000 after closing. There is a company - SB Hardwood Stairs & Flooring - (905) 399-7097 they got very good reviews on home star, you may want to give them a call and have an idea how much it will cost and compare with the builder.

Personally, I never stain my stairs in my house, I did replace carpet with hardwood flooring for $2.10 per sqft for labour plus material, for three rooms about 650sqft for around $4,000.00 total cost.

I also bought a house from Starlane, they haven't contact us for upgrades.

But floor color should match with Stairs unless if I stick with Yellow color stairs (standard)

is it color, cabinet, ceramic wall and floor selection was in one appointment or separate?

We just received call from Starlane for our second appointment for color selection and I was wondering at the same time can we choose cabinet, tiles, etc...?
