I'm looking for any info on this area. I haven't been to the sales center yet but from what I can tell, phase 1 only has one lot remaining. Does anyone know when phase two is released? The area is served by hydro one from what I can see and the street is a private. Does anyone know how much the common fees will be? Are the homes on natural gas?
Any other details would be nice. |

Diamondview has Hydro One for power, Enbridge natural gas and is on "city" water/sewer. I put city in quotations because it's not City of Ottawa water, the water comes from a couple of wells in Carp. I've been told a water softener is still recommended. As for the septic, I believe that the developers of the commercial development near the Carp airport have put in a sewer system that also services the residential lots. Phoenix Homes may only have one lot left but I think Mattino homes was also in there and may have some lots. |

The water and sewer is a strange setup to me. I wonder if there are fees associated with the well water and sewer. Thanks for the info.

they have a water filter system is already in place so water will be filtered. And since each house has its own sewer ( which I think needs to be flushed out once in 4/5 years costing 400CAD ) I don't think we need to pay City for sewage charges ( which is pretty expensive)
THE HYDROONE WORKS ON DENSITY High (Urban) Density Zone: >= 3000 customers and >= 60 custOMER/km Medium Density Zone: >=100 customers and >= 15 customers/km Low Density Zone: Areas that are not Medium or High Density I AM PRETTY SURE WE ARE EITHER IN MEDIUM OR HIGH . PLEASE REFER TO BELOW LINK WHERE IT SHOWS THE RATES PER HYDRO BOARD AND DENSITY PER 2017 , AVG HYDRO OTTAWA PER MONTH IS 96$ WHERE AS FOR MEDUIM DENSITY HYDRO ONE IT IS 107$. I DONT THINK IT IS A BIG DEAL https://www.oeb.ca/_html/performance/rates_chart.php |

Ok, so it sounds like it's on a communal well and individual septic systems. As for Hydro One they are usually double the price Hydro Ottawa.
Do you know how much the common fees are for private street? |

Not sure if hydro one is double but based on my research may be its 10 to 15 % more than hydro Ottawa
Common fees is around 100 , but note that property taxes are less compared to Kanata or barrhaven , so to me at the end it will all even out |
