Default How many nmd90 cables under staple?

Can anyone say how many 14/2 gauge wires I can staple together under an S2 staple? Local HD guy said only one cable allowed under staples, for all sizes. Please confirm, thanks.

Just an FYI, I just had an electrical rough-in inspection done and the inspector saw I had some S-2 staples and asked if I had used them anywhere to staple more than one 14/2 wires. I got the feeling that it was ok to do so but that he would have looked closer to ensure it was done right. So you may want to ask the ESA to see if you can use the S-2 to staple two 14/2 wires.

Thanks gerapau. I actually called ESA, but the ladies on the phone do not know anything about code. An electrician told me its ok, as long as the 2 wires are placed flat-wise, not edge-wise.
