Awesome news rw13. Do they have the curbs across the whole development?

I am looking at a few models. The Gables, The Peachtree and a few others. I like the Cookstown as well...it has a nice layout.

It appears that Northstar has just updated their website. It looks pretty good now

Yes, the website is very nice.

I was at the decor center this past weekend. They don't have much information for cookstown, but some of the standard issued stock is pretty nice. There were some nice faucets and shower heads that were standard and some of the cabinetry was also good.

The standard tiles are a good selection. The upgraded oak hardwood is nice, but the upgrades are even better, but more pricey.

Overall, the builder standard isn't overly cheap as a whole, but not liking the stove top fan

In other North Star threads I read they give a very ugly white range hood standard with the house....I was hoping they would at least offer a stainless standard one with the house instead of white. I guess that is one thing that will need to be changed right away

Yup, the hydrants were in. I'm a little disappointed that the roads are yet to be in, because that would allow them to start digging. Guess it won't be until the spring for any type of construction, but we will see!

Default Progress

Hi All!

Great news! Drove past the site today and they have the roads in! Progress, now we will see if they can get something done before winter, but probably not.

What do you guys think about the Cookstown Heritage and revitalization plan?

I am also curious when that new Smartcentre will be built?

Any more change at the site?

Default breaking ground

Just spoke to David last few days found out construction has been pushed back till next year. Roads and curbs are all in with hydrants, saw them starting to bury the gas lines. cant wait till next year!
