Buying from touchstome was the biggest mistake I've ever made in my life. I hope your first home experience is better than mine was. I have since moved, I still have the house as a rental property. Good luck. About your network, what kind of wiring are you running? Look for places on your walls that would permit for easy access. Will you be running wire from the basement all the up to the second floor?

This is not a site to review builders. If you have a problem with the construction of your home, please consult your builder, Tarion and your lawyer.

Many people in your area are in the same situation and looking to share information on their experiences. You've come to the right place.

I must have read the main page wrong.

jebise101 Just a thought, why not wireless? Routing from existing holes may be tricky. They are not always routed straight. From the basement to main floor isn't hard as the basement ceiling will be unfinished. From the main to second floor; i think you'll have to make holes. Drywall holes are easy to patch. I've done a few and you can't tell they were ever there after.

If you are looking to retrofit wiring to a second floor post-closing, then definately get a conduit installed from basement to attic. This will make it easy to get wiring up there and drop to the second floor. Without this it may not be possible without making some holes in the drywall.

Placing all of your equipment in the basement is usually the best and easiest idea for accessibility and less clutter upstairs.
