Default New construction on Appleby north of Harrison

Does anyone know what type of businesses are going to be occupying the new buildings that are under construction along Appleby, between Harrison Court and the 407?
There seems to be a sudden push to get them built, probably before the poorer weather sets in. Would love to see some new restaurants here.

Default Commercial occupants along Appleby

If the building across the road is an indication, perhaps the builders are going on the assumption "If we build it, they will come"?
Sad to see the units unused for so long! Seems the smaller retail stores just cannot manage to make a living in Burlington; fast food outlets being the only exception...

I keep sight of a lot of new strip plaza type places mainly because I'm always looking to see where we might move shop to next.
I've found a lot of the new ones will sit empty for a while until someone bigger moves in. Then it start attracting others.

As for retail, come on down to downtown Burlington. It's an amazing place.. lots of shops, parks, playgrounds, beach, dozens of restaurants.

I heard Bass Pro was going in? I agree it is worrying the number of vacant store fronts ... but to be honest no one ever walks past most of these places, so why set up shop? Even franchises seem to be struggling

this area will be the heartland version of mississauga, I remember when the costco (price club) 1994 went in. Not much around....fast forward 20 years.... ya i think they are doing alright, too much and over built if you ask me.
