Default Garage door opener on special at C.T.

I just picked up a garage door opener from Canadian Tire for $199. It's a Genie model and with internet research it's well rated. I've created a short link: http://isaraurl.com/linky

$100 off and it's sold out in Barrhaven, Bell Corners ... I picked mine up in Merivale that had 5 left. I've installed 3 openers so I'll DIY this one also. Check online for availability.

I'll need 2 openers for having 2 single doors - bummer. I'll get another one later next year.

Thanks for the info! Maybe we should pick one up too...

It's exciting because it's getting to that point where I now need to think of those things. We close in under 2 months so it's starting to seem real and fast approaching.

I wonder if they will re-stock should they sell out?

I like how it's listed under Wedding Gifts

Any user feedback on screw drive as opposed to chain or belt drive? They seem to be far less common.

Sears has a craftsman on sale that I just bought. $299, 3/4hp belt drive with battery backup. Includes outdoor keypad, 2 openers and the inner garage opener.

Its made by Chaimberlain (I think thats how to spell it), 10 yr warranty on motor and lifetime on belt from Chaimberlan and 1 year on overall from sears. My in-laws have the same model they bought 2 years ago for close to $500.

Here's a link to Top Garage Door Openers: http://www.garageindex.com/garage-re...FTyKOAodcDwj9A

My parents have the same brand model and have no problems with it. So I'm still keeping mine.

Randall

Which brand is yours?

I notice Genie listed in #2 place which is weird for one not rated well on the other site.
