Lightbulb Urgent Questions

We want to get our home w/o the tiles in the kitchen and foyer, will the builder "GP", allow this?

We plan on doing a custom kitchen after closing, can we ask them to give it to us w/o the cabinets?

I bought from GP and asked them not to install the carpet and they refused so my gut feel is that they will not allow you to delete the tile or the cabinets.

It doesn't hurt to ask them.

Good luck.

We were told in order to satisfy Tarion rules they must provide a completed home to the purchaser. If you want hardwood/nicer tiles in the kitchen, you may need to bite the bullet and get it through GP.

As for the kitchen cabinets, you could always get the standard kitchen and keep it for the basement if you decide to finish it. Remember, they won't credit you for not installing the kitchen (or the floors for that matter).

they might give you an option for vinyl on the kitchen, a lot easier to replace than tile.
