Aren't RG-6 cables already shielded?

Yes, spend the money for shielded cable.. However, ALL RG6 will be shielded.

There is quad-shield cable too, but not really worth it unless you are running through some very high noise environments.. and you won't be.

Thanks Greg I just remember picking some up for my boss a few weeks ago when he rewired his house and remembered seeing something about shielding so I know there is 2 different ones home depot sells. I'll go with the cheaper regular one.

Ok, so you have a Quad LNB.

I didn't realize SC was so finiky. Simple solution...Switch to Bell. Im sure you can get some wicked deals if you negotiate.

HA I have been with Bell and well I do NOT want to start anything but they are crooks. They charged me $500.00 to cancel with them after they jacked my price when my 1 year contract was up. they said oh is in the contract we auto renew and you have to cancel only on anniversary of contract. I said I would speak to lawyer about it and they hung up on me and sent to collections right away. Lawyer said not worth fighting will cost more in legal fees. Going through the same thing right now where I work for canceling Bell internet. Shaw Direct has a few problems but Customer service rates with best I have ever had, Most HD is included free and if I have any problems with anything they always, with out a fight or threat give credits or free PPV movies. AS for Rogers well I looked at them customer Service seems good, used to have phone with them and now converting all office phones and internet to Rogers. I just don't like the way they lay out channel pkgs. would cost me a lot more money to get what I have now.

If you going to buy RG6 standard shielded wire. Check out Nedco they sell 1000 feet for about $75.00 Standard shield. I was lucky enough to get into my house and run all the wires I needed before the drywall went up.

No I didn't and funny enough I have driven past them I can't count how many times, they are just down the road from my office. I will stop in tomorrow as I want to check into getting LED tubes for fluorescent fixtures to use for my under cabinet lighting. I'll post what I find out.
