Default Receiver and surround speaker packages

Good day,

I am looking to get either the HK 1600 or Denon 791 receiver for my home theater. I will be hooking up my LED tv, PS3 and computer to the unit. Which unit do you thing I should get? I also have my eyes on the HK 2600.

Furthermore, I want to get a surround speaker package that will be a good match for the receiver. (all speakers will be mounted in each corner of my family room) I have read many comments to stay away from Bose as it is overprice and does not deliver true audio 'quality'. Heard good thing about Polk and Klipsch. What are your suggestions?

Thanks

Paradigm, PSB or Energy is where I'd put my $

They are all better options than Polk klipsch or Bose

Yep! A lot of people tend to dismiss the Canadian brands but these are some of the best bang-for-the-buck speakers that you can buy. Paradigm, for example, has been getting nothing but praise for most of their speakers for well over 20 years. I have a 22 year old set of their speakers that I still use for a surround sound setup and they still sound great.

You should really look into the Pioneer Elite receivers. Most of the reviews praise them as the best sounding receivers that uses the highly efficient ICE Amps which means way less heat and more reliability.
