Default Strange Hydro Bill?

In reviewing my recent Hydro bill I noticed something that is very strange and cannot possibly be correct.

We're on TOU pricing and according to my Nov and Dec bills we have zero usage in On-Peak and Mid-Peak time frames. My Oct bill is normal then all of a sudden in Nov we used 1399kWh 100% of it in off-peak. Dec usage of 1450kWh, 100% of it in off-peak. There are zero charges for on-peak and mid-peak on both bills. This is impossible!

Has anyone else had this happen? What would you do?

Have they actually implemented the TOU billing yet?

They keep delaying it here due to reading issues with some of the meters that need to be fixed.

It's definitely implemented. I've been paying it for many months now.

Are you registered for online access of your hydro bills? Maybe check to see what that says?

Very tempting o do nothing, but I imagine they will figure it out sooner or later. I wonder if they can estimate the mid and peak periods later on and seek compensation ?

Do those useage total amounts reflect the entire day use (all in non-peak) or have the other periods just disappeared?

I second registering for the online access. You can see your consumption on an hourly basis (if you want). I just did it this weekend, and it's pretty neat.

The other periods have not disappeared from the bill. They just say 0.00kWh.

It is tempting to not do anything but you guys are right, they will come back to seek compensation.

I'm calling them now.

Lotsa problems with TOU, Burlington hydro delayed it...again. I would watch your bill very carefully. I consider my family energy misers....our bill came in a 2000 kw/hr for 61 days, hardly the miser we thought we were. This is the most we have used at this time period in 4 years by 800 kw something is wrong...

I called them yesterday and they said their communications link to the smart meters is down. Been down since Sept 23rd. They are still working on it. For the time being they are billing everything in off-peak and will do an adjustment later.

I'm billed monthly and I also keep a close eye on electricity usage around the house. I'm doing 1400kWh monthly, 2000kWh for 2 months is pretty good. With 3 kids in the house, it's pretty hard to keep up with it.

I'm close, my on-peak and mid-peak are both at two for November.
