Default Appliance installer?

Hey all,

I previously posted this thread but it looks to have been lost with the recent changes. If anyone has a good cost-effective reco for an appliance installer, I'd love to hear about it (someone gave me a great one, I just forget who)

Thanks!

I know, many people recommended Lakeside Home installation services. Sears also provides installation. We haven't used either one of them. We did it by ourselves except gas connection to range. For that, we used Reliance Home. They didn't do good job and Service Experts fixed it whom was sent by builder.

Yup, they're extreamly high, even Sears quoted very high. That's the reason we endded up installing by ourselves including a new waterline to fridge.

I'll say, dishwasher is a bit tricky. Also, levelling the laundry machines was time consuming too.

We hired an electrician to do range hood (chimney). Otherwise, it was okay if you're little handy.

Yes, it was you, Leo, sorry - I did lose the contact information, can you PM me again with it? He seemed very reasonable. I've never had appliance installers before - is he insured the same as anyone else (Lakeside, etc)?

Thanks so much

For installing a gas range whats the average price to hook it up?

on a side note the builder is charging 800$+tax to run a gas line change the outlet to a 110v and a smoke detector. That seems like a lot, I was just wondering if I would save a lot more money if i did that after closing.
