Funny enough, I don't have any great pictures of the 'older' phases of mahogany. I'll have to fly over and get a shot next time I drop by. In the mean time, here's the best I have (From July)...

Finally We did it...
Quick question - What is the situation in Ottawa with eavestrough and downspouts?
Asking because in GTA all houses from the builders come with eavestroughs
Will Minto install it later or we have to do it ourselves? If so what is the best time for it and who can do it?
Appreciate for any comments!

Minto doesn’t install it unless you pay more for it. I’m not aware of any builder that does install eavestroughing as a standard. I used Modern Eavestroughing, but there are so many around. X-Treme. Maize. Regional. I can't speak to them, but whatever you do, get a bunch of quotes and play them against each other. PM mel if you need more info. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Thank you MahogANY! Definitely, I will ask for an estimate. When do you think would be a better time for installation? I think about spring, but with a lot of rain, I think, eventually my driveway will be covered with a lot of small holes in front of the garage

I got it done within the first month or two for exactly that reason. Also, winter without eavestroughing is messy... lots of ice on the driveway. That said, Minto could always blame issues with shingles, etc, on the installers. So just keep that in mind.

Send request to 6 companies, will see how big is the difference
Also, our driveway was paved last Tuesday or Wednesday and Minto still didn't remove the tape. Is it normal?

My tape was up for a good week, but I didn’t complain. The longer you leave it, the better. Let the cold and rain seal it up well. But you’re probably safe to take it off yourself if you want... most people only give it a few days.

Got 2 so far... One is over 2k, another is $250 cheaper. Did you have guards installed? Thinking to pass on guards, so will do cheaper quote
