Default Our Urbandale Pacifica progress!

Well, we bought the place 6 months ago, finished our design selections over a month ago and finally today they broke ground! Our lot was surveyed this afternoon and they started digging with the power shovels the second the crew was done. Here we go! Finally!

My husband had the idea to take a picture from this exact location in front of the hydro pedestal across the street every time we're out there and do a time lapse thing. We'll see if he can stay on top of that...

Our lot. Looks like a big pile of dirt, but trust me... a month ago there was a pile 2 stories high.

Our sewers - That's where our waste will go! ha! ha!

Another lot photo.

And another... (like my cool hard hat??)

It stunk like manure out there today! There was also a pile of foundation forms sitting half a block away.. let's hope they will be moving things along as quickly as possible. Maybe there is a tiny slim little chance we will get in before Christmas after all, or early January! hurray!

I wanted a pink one... but I don't know where to find one. The white one was in our basement.

Our "almost hole" is now a HOLE!

Our lot (the hole is hidden by that pile of dirt. There were still workers on site and vehicles in the way so hubby couldn't get the best angle)

The rest of the block.. our hole looks like this in person!

Another angle. Look at those workers working in the pouring rain JUST FOR ME (ha ha.. yeah right)

yay.

Is this the area where that backs onto an older house with a delapited barn on the property? If so, is that eye-sore staying their?

My sources tell me it's already been sold and surveyed for other uses in the near future

They're not 100% boxed in.. more like 99% - they have road access onto equestrian.

Having said that - I would NOT buy a house backing onto it because you just never know...

Awww..congrats K+C! I know you guys have been waiting for this for a looong time. Fingers crossed, NO DELAYS.

Hmmm..I THINK they sell pink hard hats on Ebay, although the white one suits you well!

Wait- does this mean there will be LOTS of beefy construction guys around your new street over the hot month of August? 'Cause that might be cause to take a trip down to Waymark...
