Default Installing Insulated Pot Lights

HI Guys

Need some information on installing insulated pot lights on the second floor. How important or whats the code etc on the vapor barrier plastic cap that sits over the insulated metal box that the pot light fixture sits in.

Whats the right way to ensure that the vapor barrier plastic cap is properly sealed? How important is it too have a 100% seal. Can it just sit on top, or use tuck tape?

The house is already built

6mil poly will do, so long as it meets 90degC fire rating. But you're better off to use the Halo vapor barrier boot, and tuck tape the edges to your VB.
