Default Backwater valve ?

I have a newer Richcraft home built in 2009 and was wondering if they come standard with backwater valves (allow flow only in one direction to prevent sewar backups) ?

I noticed in the basement where my water meter is I have two larger black pipes (about 4-5" wide) coming up vertically from the concrete with caps that can be unscrewed. Is there anyway to tell if there is a backwater valve installed ? and why are there two of them ?

My backwater valve doesn't have a screwing cap, it's just a cap and it's grey, about 6" wide.

I had one in my Richcraft home, and had one in my Tartan home. They only install backwater valves on the graywater line, never on the sanitary. In older areas, you absolutely need this because water backup will usually result in sewage in your home since both systems are combined. In newer areas, you only really need the storm system backwater valve since storm and sanitary are seperate.
