LOL I showed up with a level and a tape measure. I got there a little early and checked everything out before the inspection started. I also took pictures of all the plumbing and electrical.

The lowest ceiling is about 6'4 and that's the majority of the ceiling where the duct work runs, nothing they can do about it I can't see how it can be avoided.

How do you check if every thing is leveled ?
How was your basement height?
All the best!

A quick question what could be done if things were not leveled?
Most of low ceiling is in unfinished area?
Thanks.

Most of the finished area is at 6'4 (that is the lowest point).

as for the walls etc.. being level I guess you could have them fix it or put it on your 30 day to 1 year Tarion report.

The Tarion manual states;

CONDITION

3.1 WALL IS OUT OF PLUMB
Acceptable Performance/Condition
Where the condition is visible from a normal viewing position, walls shall not be out of plumb more than 19 mm in 2,400 mm vertical measurement.

Warranty
One-Year - Work and Materials

Action
Walls not meeting the acceptable condition shall be repaired.

Remarks
It is reasonable to expect minor variation from plumb. Fitment of furnishings is not considered to be the test for plumb.

Default Makeup Artist :)

Hey neighbours!

This is a little off topic but I just thought I'd let all my fellow ladies know, that if ever a makeup or hair artist is needed, I'm in your neighborhood!

Valentine's is coming up so I thought I'd mention if you are in need of my services, I'd be more than happy to accommodate you

I also do eyebrow threading, so give me a shout if in need

Thanks!
now back to bad-mouthing NS :p

Default Mouse Problem

So NS came by... they did find that there was a nice big gap where they hydro is connected to our house. They foamed it up for us.

however, they said that it was quite high and possibly not the cause of the mice.
It could also have been that they made their home in our foundation when they first started building. Or that they traveled through our row of townhouses (we are at the end).

Either way, keep an eye out for them
