Default Fieldgate Homes - The Humberlands

Just purchased The Bells Lake elevation B on a 36' lot. Very excited to say the least! Anyone else yet? Officially goes public on Saturday. Had a great experience with the realtors, very professional.

Anyone have experience with Fieldgate in the past?

Obviously I'm gonna get killed on upgrades, but it does come with granite and hardwood floors among some other usual perks.

Can't wait 'till 2013! The area is beautiful! Great schools and trails!

Hi neighbours,

I also bought the Philips lakes on the 36’ lot. Last weekend, I went to the sales office to pick up my contract. I saw only 3 or 4 on 36’ lot were still available , however, only 4 houses on the 30’ lot were sold. Do you know what happened?

This is my 1st time to buy a new built home. Do you know when we need to go to Décor center to pick the upgrades? And do we need to purchase the water heater tank ourselves?

Cheers,
Koolsolid

Congrats kool!

The easy answer is the water heater. It will be a rental unit from direct energy most likely. That's what they do these days on new builds. Approximately 44 dollars a month.

The harder answer is the 30' lots. I chalk it up to the fact that they don't have conventional backyards. They have two foyers instead with a courtyard. Very cool in my opinion, just a tough sale. Limited to a select few people that see value in the set up.

We'll see. Shouldn't be an issue, plenty of time to build our homes. They will sell, it's the slow season.

Look forward to meeting you! I'm lot 16. U?

yeah and ppl like the backyard with only one ofyer to have more space. But i find those layouts interesting as well. They are coool ,u can enter from both ways, have open feel and different from normal layouts.
But 36 is always in demand as 30 feels a bit small.

Can we purchase (or buy off) the water heater tank instead of paying monthly rental fee endlessly? Actually, I am thinking to get a TankLESS water heater. What do you think?
