how much is the fine ?
the cost to relocate ac unit would be about 600.00 plus
they have to redo all tubing electrical and coolant freon.
your better of paying the fine and having it where you want it.
i am definetly putting mine at the side.
once your fence is up they wont come around.

With Spring upon us and Summer approaching i was wondering if anyone can refer me with some Central AC installers. I am looking for a 3 TON High Efficiency AC for our house. Please also let me know how much it cost you.

You can PM me if you do not want to post here

Also i heard you need to have at least 8 feet between your house and the next house to be able to install the AC in the side Yard.

My husband just called the town and they said the ac bylaw will be removed next year. Might want to call and confirm again if that's true.

We fall into an "exception zone", #R2-97, http://aurora.maps.arcgis.com/apps/S...b327e565a32246
Zoning staff told me side yards are only if you're a corner lot. The Town hasn't updated the by-law online for our specific zone, but you can email/call to confirm. Below is what the Zoning & Application Examiner from the Town emailed me.

11.99.2.2.4 Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 6.2.6 i), central air conditioners and heat pumps shall be permitted in the rear and exterior side yards only, subject to a minimum setback of 4.5 metres from the rear lot line.

Thanks LJF. my lot is targeting closing in oct 2016 so I won't need to worry about AC this year. I am glad I found this forum, lots of great info and I look forward to meeting you all when we move in.

Has anyone received any delays for phase 3? my foundation has not been poured, is that considered behind for October closing?
