Default upgrades

Great list of Upgrades! Can you believe some of the costs associated with them?!? How did the structural appt go, any surprises?
We are considering some similar options as you listed, but we are also considering upgrading the carpet, adding laundry room uppers, gas rough in... So many decisions...

Interesting to compare prices between builders. We purchased from Mattamy phase 3 and our house is just over 2500 sq. ft.n on a 36ft. lot

9 foot ceilings - 6566.00

door to garage is not standard on the 36ft lots but the elevation of our house is such that it is included with the purchase price.

Executive layout with standard cupboards - $2526.00 when you increase the ceiling height you have to add an additional 10% to this price.

Delete bulkheads - free

Double Sink in ensuite - 768.00

Oak stairs with r3c metal pickets - 6132.00

conduit pipe from basement to attic - $193.00

rounded corner bead - 1010.00

hardwood 2nd group (first group is laminate) - $17,740 for house

granite kitchen counter 4570.00

rough in for basement bathroom - 605.00

undermount kitchen sink - starts at 1100.00

rough in 3 wire switch for fans - 232.00

capped ceiling box on existing switch - 78.00

wiring for home theathre - $193.00

Valence lighting - $625.00 (actual valance included in price of executive layout)

Delete bathroom ceramic fixtures - free

pretty comparable when you look at them. Good luck with your house!

Actually no I don't know the size, not big by any means. If you've been in the Mattamy models in Stouffville, ours is the second from the left, the Towngate.

Default Hello!

Hi there! I have been speaking with Pinetti on another thread and thought I would pop over here to see your upgrade conversation.

We just bought in Aurora and we have absolutely no idea how much we should be budgeting for upgrades. I just received my blue book, but I find it frustrating because all the prices I need say "based on price chart". So I was at the design centre yesterday and the same thing, they won't tell me anything until I meet with my design coordinator, which who knows when that will be. I was wondering if any of you could help me? I wanted to know the upgrade costs to plywood over OSB and how much an oak starcase costs (average...I know it depends). I was hoping to do this after the fact, but didn't realize the stairs were OSB...which apparently is really difficult to put hardwood on. (or so I was told).

Help!?!

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!

Welcome back Shelby! Plywood in phase one (Newmarket) was $2000 extra, and oak stairs ranged from $2000-$4000, depending on the type of pickets/stains etc... But your house is larger than ours, so it may be different...

Thanks Pinetti, I so appreciate it! I think I am going to winde up getting the stairs in the end...depending of course on cost. I would like the white risers and dark stain, which I am hoping won't be too expensive.

Would you also mind telling me the basic price to upgrade cabinets and pot drawers? I am frustrated because I cannot get the cabinets I want in a cream color like our model home. They don't do that anymore...UGH!

Any more news on your front??
