Exclamation Bare minimum basement reno for home gym

Hi, I'm closing on a three story townhome this June.

In the tiny unfinished basement (where furnace, etc are), there is some space there that i think could fit a small home gym.

I'd like to make it not look like such a dungeon, but don't really need it to be "livable".

Any ideas in terms of CHEAP durable flooring, and CHEAP wall finishing?

Thanks

I don't know about wall finishing, but could you put something like this on the floor: http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en

Just make sure you don't cover your drain.

Costco has these in Gray or Gray & Black. There are 8 2x2 tiles in a package and costs under $14.
