Default Mattamy Connections group

Starting a new thread for the Mattamy Connections project. Eager to meet future neighbours here and share updates on construction dates, pricing on upgrades, and later group buying for AC, eavetroughs, fencing, etc...pretty much anything and everything real estate!

Which model and street did everyone buy on?

I think they set their prices for Connections a tad higher than Barrhaven because all else being equal, homes in Kanata have traditionally been sold for more (new and resale). I personally prefer to be in the West end because of easy hwy access, and Connections is literally 5 mins from everything you need (groceries, reg and outlet shopping, high tech etc). For us it was always location location location. Good luck with your search!!!

Hi Patrick!

Congrats and thanks for commenting in the thread! Since they've only released a limited number of lots, we may be same-street neighbours

I sure hope they started giving more than 82' lot depths.

That was a major turn off for many buyers, myself included (and I've owned 2 Mattamy homes...Barrhaven & Kanata).

The city is pushing for higher and higher density so I don't think we will see new builds with large lots within city limits.

Every other builder has lot depths larger than Mattamy's, FYI, so while higher density is a thing...it's not the factor in this case.

Just saying...if you're fine with the tiny lot, all good.

Caivan's are even smaller than Mattamy's. I've seen lots 69' deep from Caivan.

Yeah their standard lots are still relatively shallow compared to other track builders, still at 88'. Guess it all depends on what people value more - location, floorplan, lot size, price, etc. We value location and floorplan, and recognizing the smaller lots with Mattamy, had expected/planned on paying a premium for a larger lot. But someone like our neighbour (who neglects his front/back yard and weeds are at hip level) would not care for more land since he can barely take care of what he has now!
