Alarm panel

Hello everyone,

We are closing in 5 weeks and decided to drop by the house on the weekend to see how things were going.

Here is a question for anyone that purchased the alarm system package: when did they install the control panel? As of right now, there is nothing there in the entrance where we decided it would go.

So they either drywalled over it or the alarm company will install it when they come in to connect everything in the house.

There should be a wire coming out of the wall. We had to set up an appointment after we closed for the alarm company to come and install the pad and sensors. Check your doors and windows, make sure there's a small wire coming out of the frame. If not, sounds like they didn't pre-wire the house.

I can confirm that wires are there for the doors/windows. I am going to have to dig out some of the pictures of the framing to see if I caught it near the entrance. I seem to recall seeing it there.

Wouldn't be the first time that the drywall guys drywall over something they were not supposed to. It took Mattamy quite a while to find some of our vents in our current house.
