Default Recommendations for duct cleaning and furnace tune-up in Ottawa

I'm looking for recommendations for a company to come do a furnace tune-up and a duct cleaning. Any recommendations?

Also, anyone know what that would cost? I've done duct cleanings before, but I've never lived in one house long enough to have gotten a furnace tune-up.

Cheers!

Duct cleaning can range from $200-$350 depending on how many registers you want cleaned, cold air returns and dryer vent. As for a furnace tune-up, those can go from $99-$199 and include coin inspection, drum cleaning and various other items.

Haven't had one done in many years though so hopefully others chime in with recommendations.

I will give them a call later.

I called Advanced Air Quality yesterday and it is $350 for the first 10 vents and $10 for each extra vent after. I counted 21 vents for us so it is going to be a bit steep.

1 Clean Air has $199 for the first 10 vents and again $10 for each extra vent.

Both companies have solid BBB and HomeStars ratings/reviews. I am going to book one soon, we have lived here for 5 years and have not had one done. We are currently having a fly infestation, particularly in the basement, and I have not been able to trace the source so as a last resort, I will have the crew come in to do a thorough duct cleaning, just in case there is a dead animal somewhere in the vent

Please post how the duct cleaning went after it is done. I'm wondering if I need to put some kind of mesh around the vent outlets outside, could a small animal or a bird get in through them?
Thanks

Will do. I called Enviro-Pure Air Care and it will be about $400 for our home (2,500 sq.ft). Unlike the other 2 companies, they don't have Saturday booking so I'll have to decide if I want to do it during the week and if so, somebody needs to be home.

I've moved a couple of times since I originally posted this message.
I used 1 Clean Air once and Enviro-Pure another time.

For both, they were fine. Nothing too crazy about the job and what they are supposed to do. In both cases, I would definitely do a visual inspection of your furnace area with them before they get you to sign/pay. In both instances, I noticed that they hadn't properly plugged up all the holes that were drilled (either were missed/forgotten).
