Default Removing builders standard mirrors

Has anyone had difficulty removing the standard mirror builders provide? My plans are to change the mirrors once we move in, but from what I've been told, changing the powder room mirror is not difficult, however changing an ensuite bathroom mirror or a main bathroom mirror maybe difficult, especially if the mirrors are large and reach either side of the wall. I've seen the removal done without damaging the walls in a powder room, but never in a larger bathroom.

Hi Tasp,

We asked the builder not to install any mirrors in any of the bathrooms, but during the PDI we noticed that they did. Once they were removed you will have large clumps of glue stuck to the drywall. They eventually came back and patched and painted the walls. My wife will now have the mirrors cut and framed and then I will glue them back on the walls again. Just need to findout what glue to use.

Unfortunately, we remembered to tell the builder not to install the ceramic bathroom accessories, but we forgot about the mirrors.

Hopefully it wont be too difficult.

We also called and informed the builder not to install the mirrors. They had no problem with that. They just faxed us a release and we sent it back signed.
