Default Help me understand the cabinet options and levels please

I'm getting so confused and frustrated trying to figure out what cabinets I can get that will be counted as standard. We have a big kitchen so even going to level 1 is big bucks!

Trying to figure out what is standard seems to be a complicated equation that takes the wood type, the design and the colour/stain into account. Even the info in my design book is confusing.

Can anyone tell me what design and what stain I can have if I want birch?

Thanks

mmm, i will try to remember what they are... I'm not sure if my standards are the same as yours, but i have been looking at this website for the last week trying to figure out what i want to do. Here is the link:

http://www.laurysenkitchens.com/desi...ts/?CATEGORY=1

standards (as per my book anyway..with mattamy):
~maple
topaz doran
ruby 2 plymouth
~all of the melamine
~oak
topaz malta
topaz sophia
ruby 1 lisbon
~thermal
opal venice
opal urban
opal presto
opal napoli
opal anniversary
~birch
topaz porto
ruby 2 Seville
ruby 2 salem

I may be missing a couple, im just going off of memory

Nice, did you get the optional ground floor with the big kitchen and no den? The upgrades are pretty simple. If you go to the design center they actually have them all there. Basically you have your standard doors. If you want any colour you have to upgrade to level one. If you want a different door then that's level two. When you get into glazes your talking big bucks! Birch takes the stain really well, so pick the colour and go for it! I personnally think the standard salem door is awsome and its an upgrade with most builders. You can stain it and only have to go to level one. It was about 1300-1500 for our house.

Yes we have the optional floor plan for the ground floor so the kitchen is rather large. I like the Seville, does anyone know if I can get the Seville in Birch and still be standard (assuming I go with a standard stain)?
I do like the Salem too, as a second choice, but I'd prefer Seville.

I think seville is standard but no stains are standard. You have to upgrade to level one if you want any colour other then translucent. Have you been to the design center? Just go on the weekend when it's open house and take a look at all the options. Mattamy has an excellent design center.
