Default Need help-bathroom mirrors

Two bathrooms in the home have electrical plugs in them. I hate this. I looked into having the plugs moved and then I would buy my own mirrors but this is pricey and messy.

So, I am thinking I will frame my current mirrors.
MY QUESTION/ ISSUE:
The mirrors sit on the vertical lips of the countertop. Not sure how to explain it better than that. There is a cheap counter top and it goes up a few inches on the wall. The mirror sits on that.
That is fine.
However, in the future, I want to replace the counter tops with granite. Would this interfere? Would the mirror frame get ruined?

I can post a pic if needed.

http://hookedonhouses.net/2008/04/14...ror-makeovers/ It looks the the ones in this link except I have laminate counters that I may replace in a few years.
Should I just wait and do both at the same time?

You might need to move the mirror up a little to accommodate the frame, depending what size frame you are installing. We installed frames to our mirrors in 2 bathrooms and had to raise the mirrors up a little for frame. In your case make sure there is enough space for future granite backsplash. Should not be an issue changing counters after and you can also customize the height of the backsplash if tight on space.

Here is what one bathroom mirror looks like http://www.buildinghomes.ca/communit...6&postcount=12

I can't move the mirrors at all because of the cut out in the mirrors for the plug. this has been such a pain.

Say what? They cut the mirror to fit around the plug? I have never ever seen a bath plug over a vanity - always just to the side. If that's what they have done that's just stupid.

Can you post a pic Plse?

I am trying to attack a pic.
Excuse the mess, we are adding towel holders and toilet paper holders.

Never have I seen that before. In any case you can frame it and it will be ok to remove counter later.wonder if it would jazz it up to have two framed mirrors - one per sink?

I thought of two mirrors but there are two sinks and in the middle there is a little make up area where you can put a chair under.
So two mirrors would split the make up area in half.
I did think of three three mirrors but thought that would be overkill.

Looks like might be little hard to frame your mirror. Might be easier to just start over with two new framed mirrors and a free standing mirror on the counter for make up etc.

I'm not sure two mirrors would look right with the one light over top. Also, the mirrors couldn't be as wide since the plug is in the way. Do you think three mirrors would be crazy?
I suppose if they are not really fancy it could work.

My husband seems to think that removing this mirror will be a major PITA. Do you think so? He has removed smaller mirrors with no problem.

Also, a mirror farming place said it's they can still frame a mirror even if it sits on the counter like that.

I don't know what to do.
