Default PDI Experience

Had my P.D.I. today in Barrhaven Mews, I'm pleased to say it went well. Quite a few cosmetic items (70 in total)...mostly all minor. If I was a perfectionist, I probably would have ended up with a couple hundred items. Personally I'm not bothered by cosmetic items that you really have to go looking for...i.e. a scratch in the paint underneith a cupboard or something like that.

There were only 2 items which will require some effort. A misplaced light fixture in the kitchen (capped) and a crooked drywall job in a bathroom.

A peice of advice for those of you who have PDIs coming up. Bring someone who knows what they're doing...whether it be a friend who has building experience or a home inspector. If I didn't have knowledgable friends from work with me, I'm positive I would have missed the majority of items on the list.

Anyhow, closing is less then a week away, I can't wait!

Took a bunch of pictures, they can be viewed at the link below.

BTW, I'm looking to rent out the second bedroom (Bellshore) if anyone knows someone who's looking for a place in Barrhaven.

Congrats on a relatively successful PDI!

70 items does seem like alot but if they are mostly minor, it shouldn't take too long for them to be addressed... (...but then again, what do I know? Our PDI is on Tuesday!)

Just a heads up that the link doesn't work - looks like the website name is missing between www. and .com

The number of items is completely dependant on how picky you are. You could in principle point out every single scratch throughout the house and come up with a list several thousand items long, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it unless you don't mind green painters tape as wallpaper (they use it to mark out items).

Our PDI list was 13 pages long. And the paint deficiencies were summarized in one item. The other 12.5 pages were all legit (fireplace installed crooked, bulges in the siding, too many outlets on one breaker, bulges in the wall near outlets, vents not properly secured, soil poorly graded, sod in bad condition, you name it)

Those are more suited for the 30-day list no?
