Default How are you able to afford your new home?

The CBC did a little news story on younger Canadians and being able to afford a new home and plan for their retirement.

How do you fit in this whole thing with your new house?
How did you get to the point of where you were able to afford your new house?

Primarily an inheritance. Straight up, that's why we can afford where we live. Otherwise, no way. We could be in a little semi-detached, but not in this place.

Talking to people our age and younger, without any real estate in their names, it almost impossible to go from renting to buying. I see people so happy their home values are continually rising, but to me it's an ongoing problem that is getting worse.
