Slab on grade or crawlspace? - BuildingHomes.ca

Hi folks. First post for me.
Thinking of building another house. Looking at a lot with a seasonal pond on it. And plenty of standing water during spring / fall and large rainfalls.
Has anyone built a house slab on grade in eastern Ontario? Or, should we dig to below frost. Footings and backfill with clean rock and do the floor from that?
Very stable ground with about 25ft of clay as reported on the well report. Any and all comments are appreciated.
