Over the years I have found many HRV's that do not shut down properly. The manufacturer has no idea what the problems are with these systems but they do suggest that shielded wire be used.

Shame that this very large builders HVAC people have yet to start using shielded wire. I guess it is not worth the extra pennies to make sure every system they install works properly.

Without a proper inspection most people with this issue have no idea that they have a problem. Sorry, what a shameless plug that is.
