Default Basement reno - Heating run take off

I'm thinking about what I'm going to do as far as boxing in mechanical and have this heat run take off that's inconveniently in the way.

Is there anything that says I can't plumb it out the side of the 90 degree turn to get it closer to the duct and the floor joists it lives in?

I would like to say no issue.. however the pressure around that curve could be higher resulting in more air being forced through the the smaller duct than you may want.
