Default Rent to own debacle

I have seen a lot of these rent-to-own signs popping up around the city so make sure you do your due diligence

Apparently this guy used to be a well-respected member of OREIO (Ottawa Real Estate Investor Organization) and has fleeced a # of investors belonging to the group.

When it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
And the family in the article expected to pay $118k over 5 years for a home. Finances are a challenge for many and the best way to address this is education starting from a school level. It can be overwhelming and intimidating for many. Knowledge is power. It is very hard to even have absolute knowledge and confidence but without any it is a lot easier to be hoodwinked.
