why are you boys getting so defensive about this? It isn't a competition. Embrace what you have and let others do their own thing.

Fair point! I suppose sub consciously many people are gearing up for the LRT Tug of War. Each area will be pitching why they "need it more" soon enough

Until then the gloves should stay on, Happy Friday!

Yes at the end of the day it's all trivial. As long as your doing well for yourself and your happy with where you live, it's all good.

Amen to that!

And yes, to whoever said it, realtors purposely underprice to attract bidding wars. I find it has a certain effect however. If they we're asking ay 300 but really want 350. It then becomes a 50k above asking. As a buyer, I can't imagine going 50k above asking. Put it at 325, and I would then probably feel better offering 351,200 or something (mind games really) lol At the end of the day, the home still sold for 350, but you might of gotten better offers if you put what you want instead of make people guess.

Those aren't yearly stats so aren't really stats for 2018. They are monthly stats for the month of December which tends to be one of the slower months with less than half as many homes sold as many other months. But it's nice, as a homeowner to see the prices still going up. As a parent with kids in their early 20s I do worry though!

FC, as far as the location is concerned is absolutely fine. Great choice of a variety of builders (although one builder has been in the news for all the wrong reasons).

You might want to check the school rankings in FC, they are less than stellar.

Actually there is only one school which is relatively new. Which builder were referring to?

Yes, if you have young children, do evaluate the school ranking before buying. We're in the Sundance/FC area, and we generally like it. The only thing that is really bugging us is the schools. My older child goes to the French public school near Bank St.. The school ranking is a concern, but the bigger concern is the lack of diversity in the demographic. We are considering sending her to the one in Riverside South. There's a new English public school in FC. It's too early to looks at its ranking now, but the ranking in the previous location is pretty bad as well.
