Rather than expensiver materials look at the colors, sometimes even tho it's its not a fancy material the color looks good and you can save a bunch

Ya, that's what we did. Used upgraded materials where we could, and kept the standard tiles in neutral colours for the rest. Fingers crossed that it will look good. I'm thinking of starting a progress thread to post choices, the building process, and how it all turns out!! Just read someone else's this morning and it was soo neat to see the whole thing from start to finish!

Being a photographer and all, I like to document document document! And share!

haha I wish. I didn't buy anything until 2009. Learned everything on an entry level Sony alpha 200. :P

i'm still learning on my Canon T3i. I would love to get a 6D but its soooo expensive, plus the lenses.

Ya, the lenses are super crazy expensive.

I had a sony alpha 200 with a 50mm1.8 for my first year of shooting. Got me through a few weddings, and to learn all the basics, and then I upgraded with the money I made.
