Anybody tried to have Saberwood permission to pre-wire low voltage alarm system lines?
You don't want to have them removed or cut by the electrician. Also to make sure the drywaller will pull them out.

I've scoured the internets for information on Saberwood but to no avail. I too am interested in iron pickets, among other things. Its too bad these builders don't list prices. What's worse is that Saberwood only gives you one 3 hour appointment in which you have to decide what upgrades you want.

Hi Markham, sorry don't remember, I also like the look of wood so it didn't really matter to me. Sorry can't help you there.

I had it thrown in with our offer. From what I understand, it was roughly a $4000 option. But given our stairway design (no railings on the 2nd floor looking down), it's probably less than that.

ag1, what is the name of your builder? I passed by Royal Pine this weekend and iron pickets come standard...

It wasn't a definite number. When the sales rep added it to the offer he claimed that's how much that option was.

But everyone knows how sales people are...

oh no djBern, andlor said $4500 when they had the meeting with Saberwood designer, so $4000 sounds better than $4500.

I'd really like to know the REAL cost to the builder. It's probably not even close to the $1300 that ag1 stated.

In any case, we are being gouged, and continue to be gouged, and there's little we can really do about it.
