GO Transit- commute

Does anyone one know how long of a walk and/or if there will be a safe route through the existing subdivisions to walk to or from the GO station? Are there any walking paths between the houses in the neighborhoods?

I currently take the GO out of the Markham station and wondered the same thing for when we move.

I contacted GO transit and got some good news:

1) they have added on to the parking lot to accomodate alot more cars in expectation of the increase in riders out of Stouffville

2) the current GO shuttle (you can take this to the train in the morning and back home at night for $0.50 each way) will be extending its route through our new subdivision (most likely down Hoover Park Drive) and then will take us right to the GO station.

If you go on the York Region transit website (I am unsure of the new Viva routes) there is already a current GO shuttle transit schedule. This will be amended once construction has been completed (I received notification from the YRT via e-mail) to include our subdivision.
